Conan Exiles & Enhanced: From Beta 2018 to UE5 2026: Why We Finally Hit the Reset Button on Our 7-Year Conan Server

In the world of game hosting, seven years is an eternity.

On April 13, 2019, I (DragonzTeeth) opened a ticket with Low.ms to set up a private sanctuary for my wife and gaming partner, L, aka LadyDragonz. Our goal was simple: we wanted a world where we could build, experiment with new DLCs and mods, and experience the Exiled Lands without the restrictions or lag of public servers. Ryan, with Low.MS was one of the first technicians to ever help us, and was there for our Day One.

Fast forward to May 2026. Our "Legacy" server had survived every major update, every DLC drop, and seven straight years of mod rotations. But with the release of Conan Exiles Enhanced on Unreal Engine 5, we finally reached a crossroads.

The Decision to Start Over

As the server administrator, I have spent years managing mod lists and system tickets, while L focused on the creative side—immediately diving into every new DLC we bought to see what could be built. But seven years of data accumulation is a heavy burden. We were running into "ghost data" and legacy issues that even our high-end hardware—my wife on a 5070ti workstation and myself on a 4070ti—couldn't fully overcome.

We decided together that the only way to truly experience the power of the new engine was a Day Zero Reset!

The Day Zero Rebirth

Stepping back into the desert as "fresh spawns" was a revelation. We found ourselves back at the beginning—fighting imps, hunting crocodiles for survival, and completing the early "Journeys." But this time, the world was entirely different.

The partnership between Funcom and Inflexion Games has transformed the visual landscape. On a fresh, clean database, the Unreal Engine 5 lighting and textures are breathtaking. Looking at our 2018 beta screenshots compared to the massive, intricate citadel we are building today, the jump in fidelity is staggering.

On this new foundation, with Low.MS, as our host, our ping rates are perfect, and the performance is flawless. The lighting transitions in the new "Enhanced" version finally allow L's architectural designs to shine the way they were intended.

Seven Years of Superior Support

Through every technical hurdle and mod conflict since 2019, the Low.ms team has been incredible. Ryan and the tech crew have saved our server more times than I can count—patiently helping with mod issues, moving our server when hardware upgrades were available, and ensuring our backups were always ready.

They are professional, helpful, and truly understand the needs of the gaming community. Whether you’re an admin managing a complex mod list or a builder looking for a lag-free environment, they have the expertise to make it happen.

Build Your Own Kingdom

If you have been holding onto a legacy server and noticing that things aren't running as smoothly as they used to, take it from us: The reset is worth it. The clarity and stability of the Enhanced version on a fresh database is a game-changer.

If you want a host that will stand by you for the next seven years, we can't recommend LOW.MS enough.

Thank you!
